The incident occurred on 5 February. – The SKKP in Polkowice received a report from Gaworzyce about a 🐕 that had fallen into a deep excavation – reports junior captain Adrian Ziemiański, press officer for the District Commander of the State Fire Service in Polkowice. – Upon arrival, it turned out that the excavation was approximately 5 metres deep and the animal had no way of getting out on its own.
The firefighters secured the scene and began evacuating the dog. Using a ladder, one of the rescuers descended into the excavation and established friendly contact with the four-legged animal.
The spokesperson: – To calm the animal and make contact easier, the firefighter removed his gloves – the smell of equipment after firefighting operations could have been unpleasant and stressful for the dog.
The result? The dog was safely brought out of the excavation and handed over to its owner. Fortunately, it did not require veterinary assistance.
The command concludes:
Firefighters are always there wherever someone needs help – not only people, but animals too. Every life matters to us 💪❤️
