At the beginning of June, we wrote that Jordan Czopko, formerly associated with the Canon and Street Soul Dance Crew groups, intended to create a new dance group in our town—BC Dance. “A new name, a new beginning, new people. But the idea is the same: to infect others with my passion,” Jordan said at the time. The casting took place on Tuesday, June 14, in the assembly hall of the Stanisław Wyspiański Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec. Interest in the contest exceeded the organizer’s wildest expectations. Approximately 40 people applied.

The following ultimately joined BC Dance: Agata Dąbrowska, Oliwia Fila, Artur Fila, Marek Musiał, Anna Szweda and Kornelia Fabiańska. “They are truly great dancers,” the group leader says.

BC Dance is intended to be a performance group. “We want to perform alongside artists and present our own choreographies during various cultural events,” explains Jordan Czopko. “Training starts next week. I would like us to have mastered at least a three-minute dance routine soon.”

As the group’s originator and leader emphasizes, the main point is to have fun. However, he does not hide the fact that he has considerable hopes for the new group’s lineup. “I would like BC Dance members to be known precisely for the fact that they dance,” he says.

The Istotne.pl website was the media patron of the casting.
