The District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec is conducting an investigation against a 36-year-old man suspected of robbery and criminal threats. – It was established that on January 19, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., in Bolesławiec, on the grounds of the “Serbinowo” allotment gardens, the suspect attacked the injured party, who was staying in his allotment hut, intending to rob him – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra. – In order to incapacitate him, he punched the injured party in the face several times, causing the man to fall to the ground. Then, when the injured party was no longer able to defend himself, he took PLN 110 from his wallet and a power generator worth PLN 1,200 that was standing in the hut, after which he left in an unknown direction.
The investigation also established that the perpetrator – from October 19, 2025, to October 20, 2025 – sent text messages by SMS and via Messenger to another Bolesławiec resident, threatening to burn his Audi TT. The spokesperson said: – Because of the suspect’s previous convictions, the injured party feared that these threats would be carried out.
After being brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the suspect was charged with robbery and criminal threats. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
The perpetrator partially admitted to committing the acts of which he is accused, namely punching the injured party in the face several times. He gave an explanation.
At the request of the District Prosecutor in Bolesławiec, the local court ordered three months of temporary custody for the suspect.
The man had previously been convicted by the courts several times, including for criminal threats, and committed the alleged offences while acting as a repeat offender.
