The Court of Appeal issued a ruling in the case of Iwona Przybylska, former secretary of the Bolesławiec Municipality Office, finding her claims against Bolesławiec Municipality justified. This means that the earlier ruling by the court of first instance, which was favorable to the former official, remains in force.
The case began after a change in the local government authorities, when two long-serving office employees—the secretary and an inspector—were dismissed from their positions. Disagreeing with the decisions of their employer, wójt Andrzej Janiec, both took their cases to court.
As we have established, in Iwona Przybylska’s case, the proceedings have already ended with a final ruling at the level of the Court of Appeal. The court accepted the claimant’s arguments, finding that the termination of the employment relationship was unjustified.
Bolesławiec Municipality will now have to pay compensation.
