Traffic police officers from Lower Silesia encountered an unusual road user. The man was traveling along one of the streets in central Wrocław... on an electric unicycle. – There would be nothing extraordinary about it if not for the location and the speed at which he was traveling – explains asp. Paweł Noga from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters.

He adds:

Under the current regulations, a user of this type of vehicle should travel on a bicycle path, and if there is no bicycle path on the sidewalk at pedestrian speed, yielding the right of way to pedestrians.

In this case, the 24-year-old's actions were recorded by an unmarked police car equipped with a video recorder.

Spokesperson:

The rider violated both regulations by traveling on the roadway at 61 km/h, although the maximum permitted speed was 20.

The meeting with the uniformed officers ended with the man being issued a PLN 1,000 fine. The 24-year-old did not explain his behavior, admitted fault, and paid the fine on the spot.
