Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław:
The holiday break is coming to an end 🎄➡️🏠, and we are seeing increased traffic on Lower Silesia’s roads. Winter weather 🌨️, slippery road surfaces and haste unfortunately do not promote safe driving. Therefore, we appeal to all road users to act sensibly and exercise caution.
And adds:
👮♂️👮♀️ Lower Silesian police officers are on the roads and watching over travellers’ safety, but let us remember—it largely depends on us whether we reach our destination safely.
And appeals to drivers:
👉 Driver—remember:
✔️ adjust your speed not only to the regulations, but above all to the road conditions 🚦
✔️ keep a greater distance from other vehicles 🚘↔️🚘
✔️ signal manoeuvres in advance 🔄
✔️ fasten your seat belt and ensure children are transported properly 👶🪑
✔️ be rested and sober—this is the basis of a safe journey ☕🚫🍺.
It also adds:
🛠️ Before setting out:
🔧 check the car’s technical condition, the pressure in the winter tyres and fluid levels
🧯 make sure you have a fire extinguisher and a warning triangle
🗺️ plan your route and rest breaks
🌦️ check the weather forecast
🧹 do not forget an ice scraper and a snow brush.
Appeal to pedestrians
Officers:
Remember to wear reflective elements ✨—thanks to them, you are visible even from more than 150 metres away! That makes a huge difference and offers a real chance to avoid tragedy ⚠️
🔴 Road safety is everyone’s shared responsibility.
Let us do everything we can to ensure these holiday return journeys end happily—with no accidents, safely and responsibly ❤️.
