On Thursday, at 6:10 a.m., the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica received a report of a break-in at a utility room. Unit:

At the scene, officers found an employee of the housing cooperative, who had noticed a broken lock and a torn-off handle.

After entering, the police saw a scene straight out of a comedy. The police headquarters reports:

A mess, open cabinets, items prepared to be carried away… and on the table, a “line” of a white substance scattered around and a foil packet. Next to it was a backpack containing a crowbar and a screwdriver. And on the sofa, the burglar was asleep—a 26-year-old, tired out by his own “busy” morning.

The man admitted that the drugs and tools belonged to him. Officers also found a screwdriver in his pocket. During the inspection, it turned out that the burglar had also eaten… some of the candies found in the room.

The suspect was arrested and brought to the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. The drugs and tools that could have been used in the burglary were secured.

The officers conclude: – Although the arrest was unusual, the case is serious. The 26-year-old will face charges for burglary and possession of narcotic substances.

The officers: – We remind you that burglary is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
