In Bolesławiec, a friendly ten-pin bowling and darts tournament organized by IPA Region Bolesławiec was held. Six teams made up of members of the International Police Association and their friends competed. The participating teams represented: IPA Region Głogów, IPA Region Zgorzelec, IPA Region Jelenia Góra, NZZP Bolesławiec and two teams of the hosts – one of them an all-female team.
The tournament was officially opened by the president of the Bolesławiec IPA Region Tomasz Kazimierczuk, who welcomed all participants and presented the rules of the competition. The competitors then – in excellent spirits and a friendly, collegial atmosphere – began the sporting competition.
After closely fought and exciting games, IPA Region Głogów proved to be the best, taking first place in the standings. The representation of the Independent Trade Union of Police Officers from Bolesławiec won second place, while third place – after a play-off – went to IPA Region Zgorzelec.
The tournament was not only an opportunity for sporting competition, but above all for integration, exchanging experiences and spending time together in the spirit of the IPA principles – “Servo per Amikeco”, meaning “Serving through friendship”. The organizers have announced further editions of the event.
