The District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra has filed an indictment with the court against a 40-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. The man will stand trial for “unlawful deprivation of liberty lasting more than 7 days, combined with particular torment of the victim, criminal threats, and forcing her to submit to another sexual act.”
– The investigation established that the perpetrator deceitfully lured the 51-year-old victim to one of the abandoned buildings in Jelenia Góra and then, between June 10, 2025, and June 19, 2025, deprived her of her liberty – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra.
She adds:
During that time, he beat the woman with his hands, a belt and a wooden board on her head, face and entire body, causing extensive injuries, particularly to her face. He also threatened to kill her.
On June 18, 2025, when the victim tried to escape, he stopped her by force, then beat her again and forced her to submit to another sexual act.
The perpetrator faces up to 25 years in prison.
The man did not admit to committing the crime with which he is charged. He gave a statement. The prosecutor’s office:
He had previously been convicted by the courts multiple times. He is awaiting trial in pre-trial detention.
