A series of actions carried out by the officers in connection with a crime committed in one of the rural localities in Bolesławiec County led to the 38-year-old being identified as a suspect.
During the detention of the resident of Legnica County, the officers searched his home and the utility building he used.
As a result of these actions, more than 670 grams of narcotic substances in the form of amphetamine and methamphetamine were secured. They had been hidden in the drum of a washing machine and the housing of a shower cubicle. During the search, 50 5.6 mm rimfire cartridges were also found.
After being brought before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the suspect was charged with possessing a substantial quantity of psychotropic substances, having committed the offense while being a repeat offender, as well as possessing ammunition without the required permit.
These acts, classified under Article 62(2) of the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction in conjunction with Article 64 § 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 263 § 2 of the Criminal Code, are punishable by imprisonment ranging from 1 to 15 years and from 6 months to 8 years, respectively, in the case of the offense involving illegal possession of ammunition.
The man admitted to committing the offenses of which he was accused and gave explanations.
At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the local District Court applied pre-trial detention against the suspect for a period of three months.
