Police officers from Bolesławiec County detained a 38-year-old man during an intervention after he made threats against his neighbors while using a torch. The resident of the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality threatened the victims with taking their lives and setting fire to their apartment and car.

Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn had previously intervened at the suspect’s residence because of his aggressive behavior toward a family member.

The evidence collected in the case clearly indicated the need to apply a custodial preventive measure against the perpetrator.

The court granted the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec and ordered the suspect’s temporary detention for a period of three months.

Making criminal threats is punishable by up to 3 years in prison.
