On 21 October, police officers from the Department for Combating Football Hooligan Crime of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, working with officers from the Jawor County Police Headquarters, the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław, officers from the Police Prevention Unit in Wrocław and other divisions of the provincial headquarters, detained 11 members of an organized criminal group linked to the football hooligan community—9 men and 2 women.

The detained individuals are suspected of trafficking substances prohibited under the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction and of participating in the operation of gambling games. In this case, officers of the National Revenue Administration from Legnica also joined the operation and closed a venue containing illegal gambling machines. Three machines were secured in total. Separate proceedings under the Fiscal Penal Code will be conducted in this matter.

At the scene, police officers secured drugs in the form of marijuana, mephedrone and methamphetamine, as well as a firearm and ammunition. The court applied non-custodial preventive measures to 8 of those detained, while in the case of 3 individuals believed to be closest to the leaders of this organized criminal group, the court granted the prosecutor's request and ordered three months of temporary detention.

The investigation is supervised by the District Prosecutor's Office in Jawor. The case is ongoing, and police officers do not rule out further detentions. The suspects face up to 12 years in prison.
