Police received information indicating that two cables had been stolen from an electric vehicle charging station at one of the companies in Lubin. – The theft was recorded by surveillance cameras. The perpetrator was masked, with no distinguishing detail that could help police identify him quickly – reports Senior Constable Łukasz Porębski from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – However, the officers’ painstaking operational work and the evidence gathered in the case clearly confirmed that the perpetrator was a 43-year-old resident of Legnica.

When officers arrived at his apartment, the man made no attempt to hide his surprise.

The 43-year-old was arrested and taken to a police cell. Investigators established that the reported crime was not the only offense he had committed in the city.

The man was charged with a total of seven thefts. He had already been recorded in police files, and committed the thefts while reoffending. He now faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
