Last Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Bolesławiec traffic police conducted an operation called “Sobriety”. Command:

More than 250 drivers of various vehicles travelling on the roads of the county were checked. In the case of four people, the sobriety test results were positive.

Who was caught?

Among those detained was a 44-year-old woman from Lwówek County, who was driving with 1.6 per mille of alcohol in her system. The second person detained was a 46-year-old driver from Bolesławiec County, who will answer for a traffic offence because he was driving with more than 0.25 per mille of alcohol.

The next people detained during the intensified checks were enthusiasts of two wheels. Both the 34-year-old cyclist and the 31-year-old scooter rider were travelling while intoxicated. Police: – For the offences they committed, they were each issued fines of PLN 2,500.

During the operation, the patrol also checked a 47-year-old driver who was sober but was subject to a court-ordered driving ban.

Command: – Police officers appeal to people not to drive after drinking alcohol. Every amount of alcohol, even the smallest, reduces concentration, slows reactions and increases the risk of tragedy on the road.
