At the beginning of May, reader Adam wrote: “People are swimming with the lights off, while the facility is still closed.” A few days ago, a female reader Mysia wrote on our forum that “Our local officials are already swimming in our pool too, sacrificing themselves together with their entire families to check whether everything is working properly.”

It seems doubtful, however, that the officials themselves are swimming. The pool’s president, Robert Tomczyk, explains that work is still being carried out at the facility and someone may enter the pool. “I don’t believe someone would come and swim just like that. That probably isn’t happening. If they do, it is connected with the work. But if someone swims across the pool, what can I do? I can’t keep watch over everyone. In any case, I don’t allow swimming,” says Tomczyk.

The official opening of the new pool is scheduled for Children’s Day, June 1.
