Work on railway line No. 283 is entering its decisive phase. As driver Paweł Urbański reports, a work train carrying rails travelled from Żagań towards Świętoszów for the first time in 31 years. It is a symbolic moment for the entire region – the railway connection between Zebrzydowa and Żagań, out of service since the early 1990s, is gradually coming back to life.

The most significant changes can be seen on the Osiecznica – Świętoszów and Żagań – Trzebów sections, where track has already been laid, including on the new railway viaduct over the A18 motorway near the Luboszów interchange.

Paweł Urbański, a driver at Freightliner PL for 10 years, comments:

– Railway line No. 283 on the Zebrzydowa–Żagań section is entering its decisive phase. After 31 years, a work train carrying rails travelled from Żagań towards Świętoszów, and I decided to put together a video recording for you on this occasion, which I warmly invite you to watch. There is a small bonus at the end for those who persevere. See for yourselves!
