The incident occurred on Sunday evening at one of the restaurants in Świeradów-Zdrój. As reported by lwowecki.info:

The man started an altercation with two women of Ukrainian origin. After a while, he moved from words to actions and reached for a pistol.

The police were notified. When officers arrived at the scene, it emerged that the aggressor, a 48-year-old resident of Lubań County, was under the influence of alcohol. The weapon he reached for turned out to be a gas pistol.

The attacker was detained. Activities are ongoing. As the outlet notes:

Although the man did not use a firearm, his conduct may meet the elements of offenses under the Criminal Code. Pursuant to Article 190 §1 of the Criminal Code, threatening another person with committing an offense against them, if it raises a justified fear in that person that the threat will be carried out, is punishable by up to three years in prison.

Investigators are also examining whether the 48-year-old's conduct had a xenophobic motive and whether he made punishable threats.
