The collision occurred on Friday, May 6, at the intersection of Piastów and Spokojna streets in Bolesławiec. The Opel Meriva was traveling along Piastów Street and collided at the intersection with Spokojna Street with an Opel Vectra that was traveling correctly. The Vectra drove onto the sidewalk, hitting an elderly man, one of the pedestrians. Two people were injured in the collision: the Vectra driver and the pedestrian.

Two American soldiers were traveling in the Meriva. They did not stop at the “Stop” sign because some prankster had turned it around earlier. Fortunately, this time the incident did not end in tragedy. The police and military police are determining the course and cause of the road incident.
