The Equality March in Görlitz-Zgorzelec is a colorful, peaceful demonstration against discrimination and exclusion. The joint march expresses opposition to hatred and encourages the building of a society in which everyone—regardless of sexual orientation, background or identity—can feel at home.

The organizers expect several hundred participants from across Saxony, Lower Silesia and other regions of Poland. The voices of young people, who long for a Europe without borders in their hearts and rights, are expected to be particularly strong.

PROGRAM:

FRIDAY, 09/26/2025. Warm-up

  • 6:00 p.m. at “Jakobs Speiselokal” | Görlitz Old Town – a concert by the duo “state of heart” accompanied by DJ Süffisant.

SATURDAY, 09/27/2025

  • 12:00 Görlitz / Zgorzelec Equality March – the route will run along Berliner Strasse (starting opposite Görlitz railway station), via Postplatz, Marienplatz, Obermarkt and Untermarkt to Zgorzelec across the Old Town Bridge, along Daszyńskiego Street, and then back to Görlitz across the John Paul II Bridge, via Joliot-Curie-Straße to Elisabethplatz (finish)
  • 2:00–5:30 p.m. Picnic at Elisabethplatz – a picnic, information stands and speeches by invited guests. Live performance: FLAIZ
  • 6:00 p.m. Pride Party at NOSTROMO club

Possible traffic disruptions

Due to the organization of the Equality March, temporary traffic disruptions may occur in the areas around the border crossings. All road users are asked to follow the instructions of the police and security services, who will ensure the safety of the event.

The organizer(s) are the CSD Görlitz-Zgorzelec Alliance, which consists of private individuals as well as other partners and community associations.
