I would like to report another very dangerous road incident, which occurred on September 6, 2025, in the afternoon in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka, on provincial road no. 297.
A young driver, traveling at excessive speed, lost control of the vehicle and hit a street lamp with enormous force, tearing it out together with its foundation, then hit a tree and the fence of a private property. The fire brigade, police and emergency power services responded at the scene.
Fortunately, no one was injured this time. However, it is not difficult to imagine that a tragedy could have occurred if one of the residents had been in front of their property at that moment.
This incident is further confirmation that the residents of Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka have reason to be concerned. Traffic volume is constantly increasing, and drivers’ recklessness poses a real threat to life—particularly to the youngest residents, who walk along the sidewalk beside this road to school every day.
For a long time, the residents of Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka have been calling for improved safety measures— a speed camera, traffic lights and additional pedestrian crossings—but no effective solutions have been implemented so far.
