Update
As Tomasz Matyjewicz, secretary of Gmina Gromadka, explained to us, heavy rain during the storm washed away the foundation: – The area has been secured, and the damage will be repaired within the next few days.
As we read on the social media profile of the firefighters from Różyniec:
WARNING!!!
Residents of the village of Różyniec, please do not send children to the playground or use it, because a large hole has appeared.
We will ask the local authorities about the matter.
A hole in a playground can be very dangerous for several reasons:
-
Risk of falls and injuries – children playing or running may fall into the hole, risking fractures, sprains or more serious injuries.
-
Hidden hazards – the hole may contain sharp objects, stones, tree roots or rubble that can cut the skin or cause more serious injuries.
-
Danger to small children – young children can easily fall into the hole and become trapped, increasing the risk of panic or choking during the fall.
-
Possibility of the damage worsening – if the hole was caused by a landslide or sinkhole, the surrounding area may be unstable, and a child could additionally fall into shifting soil.
-
Danger during rain – the hole may fill with water, increasing the risk of slipping or a small child drowning in a deeper puddle.
-
Risk of uncontrolled damage to the playground – children playing near the hole may accidentally damage other playground elements, such as swings or slides, increasing the risk of accidents.
In short: a hole in a playground is a hidden trap, which can lead to serious injuries, so closing such a place and warning parents is absolutely necessary.
