The car was stolen in Germany on April 18. Police officers from the criminal investigations department in Bolesławiec found the stolen BMW in a building on a property located in the Nowogrodziec municipality. The car is worth approximately PLN 90,000. Officers arrested the owner of the property where the stolen BMW was being kept. The 25-year-old explained that he had accepted the car from an unknown man merely for storage. Police identified and arrested a 31-year-old resident of the Zgorzelec municipality suspected of stealing the car. Officers are determining whether the 31-year-old detainee has committed more crimes of this type.
The 25-year-old detainee faces up to five years in prison for receiving stolen property. The 31-year-old could be imprisoned for up to 10 years for burglary and theft.
