Bolesławiec police have officially commented on the case:
The incident occurred during the night of August 6–7, 2025. The perpetrator damaged the entrance doors of the District Court building in Bolesławiec. After receiving the report, officers immediately began efforts to identify the person responsible. Analysis of the information collected and surveillance footage enabled police to quickly identify and arrest the suspect.
He turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of our city who had previously committed a similar offense. The man was taken to the police headquarters, where he was charged with destroying property worth more than 11,000 zlotys. This type of crime is punishable by up to five years in prison. During the proceedings, the perpetrator gave extensive explanations and admitted committing the offense.
Because he acted as a repeat offender, and in view of his motivation and method of operation, the act was also classified as hooligan misconduct, meaning that he faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
The incident occurred during the night of August 8. At that time, the unidentified perpetrator damaged the doors of the District Court in Bolesławiec.
This type of vandalism can carry a sentence of up to five years in prison.
