The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, several minutes before 2:00 p.m. The duty officer at the Lwówek fire service received a report about a man who had fallen into the Bóbr and was holding on to a branch.

Initial information indicated that the man had most likely slipped off a low wall by the dam, fallen into the water and been unable to get out.
The finale? Lwówek media outlet: – When the services arrived at the scene, the man was already on the bank. The 61-year-old was very surprised by the arrival of the fire service, police and ambulance. He explained that he had indeed fallen into the water, but had got out onto the bank by himself without any problem or assistance, and that everything was fine.
The report to the services was deemed to have been made in good faith.
