In the area of Bolesława Chrobrego Street—from Żwirki i Wigury Street to Tysiąclecia Avenue—intensive residential and service-sector development is under way. A significant increase in the number of residents in this area is expected in the coming years, already raising serious questions about future traffic management. Three intersections are located along this section (with Królowej Jadwigi Street, Hutnicza Street and Staroszkolna Street), while new housing estates, service outlets, shops and a shopping centre are being built nearby.

Without a sensibly planned reconstruction and expansion of the road infrastructure, particularly during peak hours, residents may face serious difficulties getting around. Attention has also been drawn to the insufficient number of pedestrian crossings—there are currently only two: at Hutnicza Street and at the intersection of Tysiąclecia Avenue with Chrobrego and Spółdzielcza Streets.

Although these streets may not formally be managed by the city, residents expect the local authorities to act on their behalf—for example, by contacting the relevant road managers or planning changes to the transport network.

An additional problem is the poor technical condition of Hutnicza Street, a municipal road. Although city authorities may argue that the best time for renovation would be after construction of the new apartment blocks is complete, residents are asking: does the Bolesławiec City Office plan a comprehensive modernization of this street within the next two to three years?

The matter requires a comprehensive approach—both investment in infrastructure and attention to the comfort and safety of residents of this rapidly developing district.
