After years of efforts, residents of Przemków will see the return of passenger rail services. On 24 July 2025, an agreement was signed to rebuild the Chocianów – Przemków Odlewnia section as part of the Kolej Plus programme.
The project provides for the reconstruction of 18.3 km of the currently inactive railway line no. 316 on the Chocianów – Przemków Odlewnia section, including the construction of a new Przemków Miasto stop.
Thanks to funding from the Kolej Plus programme, the investment is worth more than PLN 150 million, 85% of which comes from government funds. The aim is to restore regular passenger services and make public transport more accessible to residents.
The works will include the construction of new platforms, the modernisation of the track and traffic control systems, and preparation of the line to handle modern trains.
