As reported by the State Fire Service Provincial Headquarters in Wrocław:
On the 81st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, on August 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., air-raid sirens will be activated throughout Lower Silesia. A continuous signal lasting 1 minute will be sounded.
The uniformed services add:
The sirens will be activated as part of a provincial drill of the public warning system, while also serving as a symbolic tribute to the heroic participants of the Warsaw Uprising.
And they appeal: – We ask residents to remain solemn and calm while the signal is sounding and to honor the memory of the insurgents by pausing for a moment of reflection during the symbolic “W Hour,” which marked the beginning of the Uprising.
