New warning sirens are to appear throughout Bolesławiec County. The purchase of the devices is to be financed from funds allocated to tasks related to civil protection and civil defense.
Starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak spoke about the matter during the September meeting of the Bolesławiec County Council. He said that a significant portion of the allocated funds had already been used, but both savings and new tasks to be carried out had emerged.
One of them is precisely the purchase of warning sirens. On Thursday, September 24, officials collected information from all the county’s municipalities regarding the need to purchase new warning sirens.
The data was forwarded to the Lower Silesian Voivode. The warning sirens will be purchased by the county office and, in agreement with the municipalities, installed throughout the county.
How many new sirens will there be?
The Starosta reported that, before the session began, submissions had already been received from across the county concerning several dozen sirens.
We will return to the subject.
