Bolesławiec police headquarters:

The year 2025 is a special one because exactly 100 years ago, on February 26, 1925, Minister of the Interior Cyryl Ratajski ordered the establishment of the women’s police. Several weeks later, a special course for policewomen began at the headquarters of the State Police in Warsaw. Today, the rules for joining the Police are the same for everyone. In the Bolesławiec garrison, women account for nearly 25% of the workforce.

The celebration was attended by the First Deputy Commander of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, Insp. Norbert Kurenda, as well as numerous guests. Among those attending the ceremony were Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak and the mayor of Nowogrodziec, Joanna Świder.

During the ceremony, the Bronze Distinguished Police Officer Badge was presented to Superintendent Agnieszka Pitera, along with appointments to higher official ranks for more than 40 officers. Among those recognized on the occasion of Police Day were also five employees of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

In his speech, the County Police Commander in Bolesławiec, Deputy Superintendent Tomasz Jagielski, expressed his appreciation and respect for policewomen, policemen and Police employees. He thanked them for their commitment and dedication to public safety. The head of the Bolesławiec officers offered special thanks to the families of the uniformed personnel, as the support and understanding of loved ones is immensely valuable to everyone. Deputy Superintendent T. Jagielski also emphasized the importance of cooperation with local governments, the prosecutor’s office, the court, other services and institutions for the benefit of the entire county.

On the occasion of Police Day, distinguished officers of the police stations in Nowogrodziec and Kruszyn, as well as the police posts in Warta Bolesławiecka and Gromadka, received financial awards from local government officials.
