The incident took place on Monday, July 14 this year. Officers from Wałbrzych received a report from residents about a man who was allegedly recording children playing on a playground. Police:
A patrol was immediately sent to the scene. Officers identified the person described in the report, who voluntarily provided them with his phone. The officers checked its contents for disturbing recordings and photographs—but found nothing of the kind on the man’s device.
It adds: Therefore, it should be emphasized that the information contained in the report was not confirmed during the police intervention. The man with whom the officers carried out their activities is a foreign national legally residing and working in our country.
And adds: Unfortunately, on the same day, the bodily integrity of the man referred to in the earlier UNCONFIRMED report was violated. He was taken to hospital, but fortunately did not suffer any more serious injuries.
The intensive actions immediately undertaken by the police led to the arrest of two people who were responsible for assaulting him on national-identity grounds. The command: The men should hear the charges today.
That was not the end of the matter. Police: In connection with information that a spontaneous gathering might take place on July 15, 2025, whose participants would be hostile toward people of a different national identity, police officers took preventive measures to prevent unlawful conduct—in this case, aggression and violence motivated by national identity. Thanks to the officers’ swift and, above all, effective actions, when several dozen people gathered near one of the hostels inhabited by foreign nationals, the officers prevented the situation from escalating into conflict and acts of violence.

Such fake news may be published deliberately to cause recipients anxiety or aggression. Together, we can counteract the spread of false information by verifying it through reliable sources.
