Scouts from ZHP Poznań are staying in Bolesławiec County. During the day, Bolesławiec police officers met with the camp participants to remind them of the most important rules for safe summer recreation.
In the evening, officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec visited the scouts again to secure their route in light of concerning forecasts indicating a risk of flooding caused by intense rainfall.
Given that the campground is located in the immediate vicinity of the Kwisa River channel, the young people’s safety could have been at risk.
After consulting the State Fire Service, and in order to avoid a crisis situation, the supervisors and scouts first moved to a village community center in a nearby locality and then, for the following night, to the Primary School in Osiecznica.
