The tender proceedings show that three bids were submitted, but each exceeded the contracting authority’s budget of PLN 40,067,000 gross. The lowest bid amounted to more than PLN 51 million, while the highest exceeded PLN 58 million.
As a result, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Law, the proceedings were cancelled for economic reasons.
Access remains unresolved
The cancellation of the tender is another signal that there are no prospects for a quick solution to the problem of access to the new MOSiR complex. Residents had already reported that the modern recreational facility was built in a poorly connected location, with limited options for reaching it on foot, by bicycle or by public transport.
Although it cannot be ruled out that the city will make another attempt to carry out the investment, for now there is no specific action plan. Instead of the start of construction work, a question mark has emerged over the future development of the entire area around Spacerowa Street.
