On June 24 and 26, 2025, inspectors from WITD Wrocław once again conducted roadside checks to verify compliance with road traffic regulations on the Wrocław section of the S8 road and the Legnica section of the A4 motorway.
During the two-day operation, inspectors uncovered a number of violations, including breaches of the ban on overtaking. The office said: “Such bans apply to drivers of heavy goods vehicles on motorways and expressways with two lanes intended for traffic in the given direction.
Twenty-one heavy goods vehicles were inspected; in 11 cases, the vehicles were selected because their drivers were violating the overtaking ban. The inspections also revealed violations of drivers’ working-time rules and vehicles exceeding permitted weight and dimensions.
The inspectorate summed up: “Drivers found to have committed violations were given hefty fines, and each received the number of penalty points appropriate to the offence. In addition, the relevant administrative proceedings were initiated against the companies.
