According to press release No. 32/2025, the investigation concerns offenses under Article 248, points 2 and 4, of the Penal Code—falsifying election documents and violating the secrecy of the ballot or the rules governing elections.
The proceedings were launched after information came to light that the package of ballot papers containing votes cast for Karol Nawrocki also included valid votes cast for Rafał Trzaskowski.
The case is being handled by Division I of the Investigative Department of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra. At this stage, the Prosecutor’s Office is not disclosing further details, but assures that the proceedings are intended to thoroughly clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
