Upon seeing the police car, he accelerated sharply and, despite the flashing lights and audible signals, had no intention of stopping for a roadside check.
The officers immediately began a chase through the city streets. After several minutes, the car was stopped.
Police: – It turned out that the driver, a 23-year-old Ukrainian national, was not carrying any documents. The man was highly agitated. A drug test detected methamphetamine in his system.
And added: – Thanks to the police officers’ swift and decisive intervention, a tragedy on the road was avoided.
The officers conclude:
We remind you that failing to stop for a roadside check is punishable by up to 5 years in prison. Driving under the influence of drugs, meanwhile, is punishable by up to 3 years in prison. However, it should be remembered that in addition to committing a crime, such a person poses a huge threat to other road users.
