Customs and Tax Service officers from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław and police officers from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań (KWP) stopped a car transporter for inspection. – The driver presented documents for the transported delivery van from Germany and the caravan from the Netherlands. The car and transporter were inspected by officers, who noticed unusual, non-original modifications in the cargo area of the transported vehicle – explains Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.
During the search, officers discovered a specially constructed compartment in the floor of the transported car, containing almost 22 kg of marijuana. In addition, they found the following in the caravan:
- 35 litres of liquid amphetamine,
- 3.5 kg of MDMA tablets,
- 13 kg of methamphetamine,
- 0.76 kg of cocaine,
- 4 items resembling firearms and 19 rounds of ammunition.
Nearly EUR 5,500 was also secured.
The 47-year-old driver was detained by the Police to provide explanations.

At the same time, officers from the KWP went to the recipient of the transported vehicles. At the 39-year-old's property, they found more than 3.5 kg of the synthetic drug MDMA, marijuana and cash.
The men were charged with intra-Community smuggling and possession of significant quantities of drugs, for which they face up to 20 years in prison. The court, at the request of the Poznań District Prosecutor's Office, ordered three months' pre-trial detention for the 39-year-old. The driver of the detained transport was placed under police supervision.
