Yesterday morning, the Bolesławiec traffic police carried out intensified checks of drivers for sobriety. The police: – As a result of more than 200 checks, 4 drivers were stopped, 3 were under the influence of alcohol, and one had three court-imposed driving bans.
Two residents of Bolesławiec County were driving cars while intoxicated. The 62-year-old was driving a passenger car, having more than 0.8 per mille of alcohol in his system at 6:00 a.m.
An hour later, a truck driver was stopped. The officers: – The test showed that the 32-year-old had 1 per mille of alcohol. Both men now face up to 3 years in prison.
The third driver was under the influence of alcohol, with nearly 0.5 per mille. He will be held liable for a misdemeanor.
In addition, a resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality was stopped after getting behind the wheel despite having as many as three court-imposed bans. The 32-year-old faces up to five years in prison.
