Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters conducted intensive operations throughout the county on 9–10 June as part of a nationwide campaign aimed at locating and detaining people wanted on the basis of warrants and orders for arrest issued by courts and prosecutors.

The result? The headquarters reported: – In Bolesławiec County, officers detained 10 wanted people.

Those detained included:

  • a 35-year-old man from Warta Bolesławiecka municipality, who had to serve a one-year-and-six-month prison sentence for burglary;
  • a driver who had been driving despite a court-imposed ban and was sent to prison for four months;
  • a man who had to serve a seven-month prison sentence for driving while intoxicated.

A Bolesławiec resident was also detained after failing to pay a fine, which the court converted into a substitute prison sentence. Bolesławiec officers reported: – Ultimately, the woman took advantage of the opportunity and paid her outstanding obligation.

A 28-year-old man was in a similar situation: he disregarded the court judgment by failing to pay a fine. Ultimately, his employer helped him by paying the fine.

In addition, as part of the operation, criminal investigators detained a resident of Złotoryja who was wanted by the District Court in Jelenia Góra.
