Polonaise, krakowiak, kujawiak, oberek and Greater Poland regional dances—all in attractive and innovative arrangements. The Bolesławiec folk ensemble will perform for the public on Friday, 1 April. Two performances will be staged in the cinema hall, at 9:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.. The April Fools’ concert will take a special form—with humour, playfulness and a light touch.
ZPiT „Bolesławiec” enjoys great popularity, and the dancers have a regular audience. The dance-and-music performances staged by the ensemble, choreographed by BOK-MCC instructor Elżbieta Adrusieczko-Tor, show the enormous potential and joy found in folk customs and amusements.
“In this performance, we want to have fun with folk music and show that it is timeless,” says the instructor. “We will dance the krakowiak to contemporary music. The girls dancing the kujawiak will wear attractive costumes, merely stylised as folk dress. And the song lyrics will have a very contemporary message. We warmly invite you to our performance.”
