The website of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office has just published a statement by the head of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Nowogrodziec, Agata Kleszczyńska, which reads as follows:
Dear Residents of the Nowogrodziec Municipality and Town
I regret to inform you that this year’s celebrations of the Days of the Nowogrodziec Municipality and Town have been organised on a much more limited scale than in previous years (emphasis added by the editorial team – ed. note: istotne.pl).
The reason for this situation is the decision of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Council, which during the 2025 budget session limited the budget of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Nowogrodziec for cultural activities to PLN 850,000.00.
One consequence of this situation is the decision not to invite star performers who, as in previous years, were intended to make the event more attractive. Therefore, while maintaining budgetary responsibility, we are focusing on local artists, family and sporting events. Despite the limitations, the programme will be diverse and aimed at all age groups.
