Readers are reporting that hail fell in many places across Bolesławiec County. In Dobra, the hailstones were the size of beverage ice cubes. In Bolesławiec, hailstones the size of cherry pits also fell in some areas.
Water flooded roads, basements and properties both in Bolesławiec and in towns and villages across Bolesławiec County.
Gusty winds broke trees and branches. Firefighters are already dealing with the aftermath of the storm.
Forecasters warn that so-called supercell thunderstorms—that is, very severe thunderstorms—may form across Lower Silesia. They may be accompanied by torrential rain, strong winds and hail. In extreme cases, tornadoes may also form. Take care!
