Officers from the Police Station in Ścinawa were patrolling the town. At one point, they noticed a woman driving a Renault passenger car who entered a road marked with a sign prohibiting traffic in both directions. Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław: – The officers stopped the woman for a roadside check. After checking the police systems, it turned out that the 69-year-old’s driving privileges had been revoked by the county head for driving a car while intoxicated.

The senior woman wanted to end the check as quickly as possible, telling the officers that she was in a hurry to pick up her grandson from kindergarten. However, the officers smelled alcohol on her. They decided to check whether she was sober

The result? More than one per mille of alcohol in the 69-year-old’s system. The woman told the officers that she had drunk a low-alcohol beverage the previous day.

The senior woman was detained and has already been charged. She will now face charges for driving while intoxicated, for which she could receive a sentence of up to three years in prison.
