Police officers from Bolesławiec received a report that a woman driving a vehicle, having seen the way the scooter rider was driving, suspected that he was drunk. The police station: – When the man fell while attempting to turn, the woman stopped and approached him.
She smelled a strong odor of alcohol on him, immediately took his keys and notified the emergency services.
The man left the scene. However, he was soon detained by a community police officer from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec. A sobriety test showed nearly 2.5 promille of alcohol in his system.
The outcome? The 57-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality will face charges for driving while intoxicated, which carries a penalty of up to 3 years in prison.
