During a patrol in Bolesławiec County, officers from the Independent Police Prevention Unit in Legnica detained a man and seized drugs and nearly 200 rounds of ammunition.

The intervention began with a check of a man in Bolesławiec. Officers from the Independent Police Prevention Unit in Legnica noticed the 32-year-old, who began behaving nervously when he saw the marked police car.

He was very nervous when speaking with the officers and was unable to explain the reason for his behavior.

The officers already suspected that the man might be hiding something from them. A search of the luggage belonging to the resident of Bolesławiec County dispelled all doubts.

The officers: – He had several silver-foil packets and a characteristic resealable bag in his wallet, containing a white crystalline substance. A test conducted by a forensic technician confirmed the suspicion that it was methamphetamine.

Nearly 200 rounds of ammunition were found in his room. The cartridges were lying in various places in the room used by the suspect. Everything was secured, and the officers will determine where the ammunition came from, as its possession requires a permit.

The case is being handled by the Bolesławiec prosecutor’s office. The 32-year-old faces up to eight years in prison.
