Officers from the Nowogrodziec Police Station arrested two men yesterday. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters: “Thanks to the neighborhood officer’s findings, a wanted man was located. He had a six-month prison sentence to serve for road offenses. The 41-year-old was taken to a penitentiary in connection with driving while intoxicated.

The second arrest concerned a moped rider. The headquarters: “Police officers noticed a man riding a two-wheeler without the required helmet. When they took action to check the moped rider, he did not respond to their instructions, hoping in this way to avoid being checked.

It turned out that the 45-year-old rider was drunk, with more than 2‰ of alcohol in his system. The officers:

Driving while intoxicated is punishable by up to three years in prison. The resident of Osiecznica Municipality also failed to avoid liability for not wearing a helmet and for failing to comply with police officers’ instructions.
