Last weekend, the Inter-Voivodeship Championships for U14 athletes in cross-country running were held in Wrocław. The event also served as a qualifier for the Nationwide Youth Olympics, which will take place on 2 April in Bydgoszcz. Four athletes coached by Małgorzata Markowska qualified for the Polish Championships: Krzysztof Kozdra (in the 5,000 m race), Beata Cieśla (in the 3,000 m race), Dominika Kamińska (over 2,000 m) and Bartosz Wróbel (in the 3,000 m race). The latter finished second, winning a silver medal.
Three more Bolesłavia U14 athletes also secured high positions. Ewa Ochocka won bronze over 1,500 m. Mateusz Kopeć achieved a strong seventh place in the 2,000 m race. The result achieved by Wojciech Karaban, who is only beginning his athletics journey, also deserves attention. The athlete finished in 18th place.
