The incident occurred on May 11, after 5:00 p.m., in Mirsk. Lwówecka KPP:
According to the preliminary findings of the police officers who were the first to arrive at the scene, the 44-year-old resident of Krosno County, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle on a bend in the road and collided head-on with an Opel car approaching from the opposite direction.
Despite the immediate rescue operation, he died at the scene.
A second motorcyclist was riding behind the 44-year-old. Because he failed to maintain a safe distance, he hit the Harley’s wheel, lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a ditch. Both he and his passenger were taken to hospital. Fortunately, their lives are not in danger.
The police and prosecutor’s office are determining the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. The officers:
