As Joanna Proniewicz, press spokesperson for ZMP, explained, the commissions operating within the Association, although they bring together more than 1,000 local government employees from member cities, serve only an advisory function. Their recommendations are presented at meetings of the Board, which decides whether to adopt or reject proposals as official ZMP positions.
In the case of the proposal concerning pensions for local government officials, the ZMP Board has not yet made any decision, nor has any discussion been held on the matter. However, already Jacek Sutryk, president of the Association of Polish Cities, has expressed his negative position on this solution.
