The snow has melted, but a great deal of sand remains on the roads in our county. When will they be cleaned? The municipal services have already got to work. “We started the post-winter cleanup two weeks earlier than scheduled,” says Władysław Bakalarz, president of the Municipal Communal Services Company. For several days, two MZGK street sweepers have been operating on roads administered by the Bolesławiec municipal authorities. On Friday, March 11, the streets in the Kwiatowe housing estate were cleaned; three days later, company employees tidied up Kosiby Street.
As Bakalarz assures us, all municipal roads will be cleaned before Easter. “And if the current weather conditions continue, we will finish the cleanup by the first ten days of April at the latest,” he adds.
The Bolesławiec County Roads Authority also intends to finish before Easter. “We will probably start cleaning on March 28,” informs Roman Palczewski, head of the County Roads Authority. “We have received indications that snowfall is still possible later this week. In this situation, starting work earlier would be pointless. We will begin the cleanup in a week and a half, once the weather stabilizes.”
It is already known that the county roads in Bolesławiec will be cleaned first. “It will definitely be clean before the holidays,” Palczewski emphasizes.
