ZSE is also well known nationwide. Titles won in events such as the National Olympiad of Technical Innovations, the national “Masters of Vectors” Competition and the National Polish IT Championships, AI division, are just some of the many examples of the achievements of its talented students.
Students take part in many educational projects and competitions beyond the regular curriculum. One example is the “Digital Future of Copper” project, aimed at technical secondary school students, especially those specialising in IT, who are potential future students of computer science programmes. The project enables young people to learn about modern technologies in an industrial context, combining education with practical experience in digitalisation.
GES Experimental and Simulation Group. HERE, ZSE students actively participate in classes organised by academic staff of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. GES enables young people to carry out research and technical projects, providing an excellent opportunity to deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge of new technologies.
Safer Internet Day – ZSE organises lectures at the school delivered by specialists working in IT infrastructure security. This important initiative aims to raise students’ awareness of online threats and methods of protection against them, which is essential in the age of digitalisation.
Meanwhile, European Code Week “CodeWeek” consists of programming classes in which students learn new programming languages and techniques, providing an excellent opportunity to develop skills essential in the IT industry.
Inter-class and inter-school e-sports tournaments are also organised. They not only develop strategic skills but also bring the student community together. Such initiatives are an excellent way to develop passions and promote physical and mental activity among young people.
